Coming to you LIVE

Woo hoo! I am actually using the desk top computer!! Yay! Brett took the lap top to school but hey no problem, I still have the Internet here at the house so I don't have to wait until 10 pm to check everything and write on my blog lol. Adalie is asleep. Laundry is in the washer AND dryer. Kitchen is clean. I feel like I deserve a little bit of Internet time haha. I need to find a fun game or something to play...

My Boring Hair

I have been struggling badly with trying to find a new look. I always want to change my hair. I did the perm thing because EVERYONE has my hair cut now. Granted I have had the same one for about three years now, did a little trial run with bangs at one time (big mistake) but now I need something different. The perm is starting to get a little too high maintenance for me and not much option when it comes to styling. I have to gel it everyday or I look like trash lol. And I hate it being so stiff all the time. I straightened my hair today and it feels so good to be able to brush it again haha. I don't want to get it cut too short though...I think I might want to grow it longer, not too long but at least shoulder length. Right now it looks like a box cute. Too straight cut at the bottom. I like layers so I am sure I will go with that. Oh, and I am dying my hair....really black, almost dark blue hehe. I am trying to get a few more months of dark hair in before everyone wants to go with a "sunny" look. It should be fun!! Brett even seems excited about it! LoL! And he doesn't ever say much about my hair choices...Yay for change!

Our Date with Daddy

For those of you who don't know, my husband Brett is a Hungarian teacher at the MTC. His group of missionaries left on Monday so he doesn't have a new group until next Wednesday. He didn't have to work tonight which turned out to be so fun for us! He came home after lunch from his DAT Prep class he has on Saturdays from 9 to 4, skipped the rest his class and took us to the the Museum of Ancient History at Thanksgiving point. It was so neat! The best was just getting to spend a fun day as a family and enjoying the wonderful weather we've been having!! Adalie even seemed interested in everything. It was so cute..she has her own "play" camera and was taking her own pictures of the dinosaurs. ha ha. Thank you daddy for the wonderful day!!

Keep Your Fingers Crossed

So, Adalie has been so good about bedtime and actually staying asleep. lol I know I have told you this before, but she has ALWAYS been a bad sleeper and fights us to go to bed. I usually have to rock her for at least 20 min before she finally drifts off and then actually getting her into her crib, still asleep, becomes a challenge. Well, when we moved she started sleeping great and all I would have to do was lay her down in her own bed with her blanket, baby, and her milk and she would go to sleep on her own. Then she got sick and I was so scared the cycle would change, but luckily she has still been doing great! Ya hoo!! Even nap times all I have to say is "I'll see you in a little bit" and she will go right to sleep...in her own bed even, not mine. haha I am LOVIN it! Sure, she is almost 2 so it probably should've happened this way a while ago, but at least it has finally happened. Better late than never right?

Now my new challenges 1. getting her to eat more than just cheese and milk. She is a hard one to please when it comes to food....you definitely wouldn't know she was my daughter had I not seen her come out myself. lol 2. Potty training. It will be her soon and I am trying to get myself hyped up about it. It is hard lol.

Yay!

So, our desk top computer has been broken for almost a year. I haven't had the heart to just throw it out thinking somehow, someday I can get it fixed and have a computer at home and Brett can take the lap top with him more to help out with school. Plus, I have been so sad because I cannot find our wedding picture cds and lots of Adalie newborn pics. I mean, I have them all in a scrapbook, but you always need copies. They were on the computer. Well, Brett's new companion teacher did computer work for the army and came by and clean out our hardrive and recovered all of our pictures and music we had stored on the desk top! I am SO excited! He is coming back later this week to reboot it and get it running like new for us again. I can't even tell you how happy I am about all of this! Yay! It has been so fun seeing all of our older pictures that I just haven't scrapbooked yet...
I can't believe Adalie was ever that small. I can't remember lol She was SO tiny!!

Funny Things

So, Adalie is so good at throwing things in the trash. This has been a "trick" of hers since she first started walking at 11 mths. So, the other day after changing her diaper, I asked her to throw it away. She came back empty handed so I thought the job was done. Well later that night, I was getting ready to fix dinner and opened the fridge to find a diaper on the second shelf. A poopy diaper. Our trash can is right beside the refrigerator and she can open the fridge now. I guess she got a little side tracked and forgot about setting the diaper in the fridge. Needless to say, when things go missing around here, I better take a look in our fridge.

Also, she has been a little possessive of Daddy lately. If she ever sees me hugging and kissing on Brett, she always walks over and says "up" so she can push me away. She says "Mine" and then it becomes a competition to see who can get a hug from daddy.
Here are some fun pictures as of late of our little curly sue...
.
Can't forget she has got a little bit of Texas in her.

Adalie and her new cousin Bre. two weeks old and almost the same size as Adalie haha

Out to eat Chinese with Grandma and Grandpa!
