So Thanksgiving was a wonderful Holiday and an even better break! We headed up early Wednesday morning (4 AM) and on the road to Colorado to Brett's parents house. Our heater stopped working about 45 mins into our trip. Not fun. It was Freezing in the dark morning without the sun. We got there around 1:00 and immediately felt the holidays beginning. It was so good to see Brett's mom and dad and his Grandparents. Adalie went to bed that night with a cough and a cold that would last almost the whole trip. Poor thing.
Thanksgiving Day was filled with good food and fun company. I felt bad not helping much in the kitchen. There really wasn't much Brett's mom let me do but keep her company. My green bean casserole took about two seconds to make and my pie didn't turn out quite as good as I hoped it would, even though everyone said it did. Haha Family.
Friday we thought about waking up early to catch the sales, but Brett got his GPS he wanted online in the early morning wee hours so we really didn't have too much of a reason to go into the stores. We did go at about eight though to Wal-Mart to get some more milk and looked around while we were there and I was actually very surprised at all the stuff still there!! We got Adalie a scooter bike for Christmas originally $89.99 for $39.00!! I couldn't believe it!! It's like a powerwheel - I am still shocked! I even picked up a few $5 barbies and barbie things for next years Christmas and we got our discounted Christmas tree. Needless to say I was pleased...I really do love good bargains and I feel good about. I am so excited for Brett and Aalie's faces Christmas Morning!!!
Saturday we headed out again with Brett's mom to do some more bargain shopping on Christmas stuff with her and she got Adalie her fist little pair of High heels. They are so cute and she has been wearing them around the house. She keeps saying she is a Pretty Princess and sings the Bibbadi Bobbidi Boo Song from Cinderella because they look like glass slippers. We also got our outfits for Family Pictures which I am nervous about taking since I am Big and pregnant.
It was such a fun and relaxing vacation. We left on Sunday morning and it was Brett's turn to have Adalie's cold, but feels a lot better today. I am glad. He has a busy week ahead of him and I will miss having a husband this week. I don't have the Camera on me now so I will have to upload all of our pictures tomorrow or later tonight when Brett gets home so stay tuned!!

Sweet Mornings
I love our mornings here at the house. Unless it was an absolutely horrible night which doesn't happen to often (probably just jinxed myself haha), our mornings are always full of smiles and giggles. Adalie wakes up so happy and runs to give you hugs and kisses. Sometimes she wakes up before us and tires to wake us up by gently stroking our face or our hair and gives you sweet kisses until you acknowledge she is there. Saturday mornings are by far my favorite though. Brett and I are still in bed and Adalie will usually climbed in and wedge herself between us and we will watch cartoons together until someone decides they are too hungry and we will have ourselves some good breakfast. It is just sweet moments like that I love and look forward to all the time. It is such a simple little thing but I love that moment I have with them on those Saturday mornings. That is one of those moments when it hits me they are mine and they are really here. Half an hour of carefree and uninterrupted time of just us with no worries. I absolutely love those moments, and if I take the time and look hard I can find them everywhere. I am so thankful for my little family and the blessing they are to me. I love them so much, more than I thought you could ever love someone. I have so many wonderful things in my life, the list would go on and on. My heart is so full and I am getting emotional, I better stop now while I have control of the tears. I just needed to take a moment to say I am grateful. This season, as well as always. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Enjoy the holidays and be safe!

Just Blogging to Blog
I always feel guilty when I haven't taken the time to blog about something even though nothing is really going on. This is pretty much the only journal I have, like most of you out there I think too so I feel like I should be writing something. I did start my Blog Book though! That's exciting! (thank you Caroline for the blurb tip!) It is going to be quite the project so I am glad I got started on it early. Question though - do you think I should publish it with the end of the year or right before February when the baby is born? And then just plan on starting a new one then with our adventures with both babies around?
Adalie got her hair cut on Saturday. You can actually see her blue eyes now so that's good. It is a little short, but will grow out soon enough like a mop again. Her curls are still there so that's all that matters. She looks like her daddy a lot more now with her shorter, not like she ever looked like me with her hair longer even but I just see her face more with short hair and there is Brett all over again. I am so anxious to see what little Cason will look like. Those Sorensen genes have come out pretty strong so far, so I am betting on another little Brett with curly blonde hair, but I guess you never know! Maybe we will get a Jenkins in this one since it is a boy. Dark hair, blue eyes, and a little taller =) hehe. Today is one of those days were it is hitting me like a brick that we will be having another little one aournd here sooner than later. I feel like I have forgotten everything. I can barley remember what happened with Adalie's labor and the weeks to follow when we brought her home. It all comes back to you right??

DMU
Brett got his acceptance letter to DMU today!! Yay!! At least we know we are going somewhere LoL. Brett is giddy with excitement! I think he is finally starting to believe how smart he is, although he would never admit it. They have offered us a good scholarship to come, but Brett still wants to check out AZ before he sends in deposit money to hold his place in Des Monies. I am so excited! Mostly I think for a change and a new home soon. Don't get me wrong, I love good ole' Utah and might even miss it, but I am ready for something new. And med school will definitely be something new. I am excited about the thought of Arizona too. Brett feels more confidant now about that interview coming up knowing he aced this one. Oh how fun!! One more step up the ladder and into the future. Congratulations honey!! I am so proud of you always!

26 weeks of Baby thoughts
So I am almost in the last trimester of my pregnancy and I am going bonkers. I am so emotional and my face is breaking out like a teenager. I never have had a problem with pimples or blemishes, not even when I was pregnant with Adalie, but this pregnancy has definitely been different - in good and bad ways. A times I can't believe I am even pregnant again, much less with a little boy. I am scared. I am anxious. I am nervous. Excited. Worried. Stressed. Everything all rolled into one hormonal ball of baby expecting. Some days I wake up just wanting the little guy to already be here. Other days I absolutely freak out at the thought of even going into labor remotely anytime soon. I go up and down all the time in levels of excitement. I think Brett is finally starting to get excited and believe its coming. It is fun that he, and even Adalie, can feel the baby in there now. Our little Cason is quite the mover and shaker in there. A lot more than Adalie ever was. I don't think he ever sleeps, which means I am entering the insomnia part of the pregnancy. I am getting really excited at the thought of Adalie being a big sister. She seems to know whats going on and answers all the basic questions about the baby. What's his name? Its gunna be Cason Brett When is he coming? In February What are you going to do with the new baby? Hug him and feed him and help mommy. She tells other people I am going to have a baby all the time. I hope the transition goes well. She doesn't like change that much and this is going to be a big one.
Let me Explain
I know, I know I put up a Christmas Blog Background....I am just so excited this year!! I want to get as much of it in as possible. I put up maybe one Christmas decoration a day. Today it was a red table cloth with a snowman place mat. Yesterday it was stickers on the window and the day before, Christmas lights around my floor lamp. DON"T worry I didn't forget about Thanksgiving. I am WAY excited about that too. Next week is going to be SO great in Colorado with Brett's family. That Saturday we are even going to have a "mini pre-Christmas" since none of us will be able to make it there for Christmas this year. I say it all the time but I love the holidays. I even have all of my Christmas shopping done. Except one more present for Brett of which I have no idea what it is going to be. He is a hard one to surprise and I would really like to do that this year... Any who Happy Holidays Again and Again!!
Ps. Brett is finally home....it feels great.

Yumm!!
A perk to Brett being gone you ask? PIZZA! Yum! Today seemed like a good day to order in and try and get some good cleaning done. Our carpets are nasty and old so today I pulled out some High traffic foam cleaner and did the best I could on some of the little spots all around the house. Didn't really turn out as good as I wanted, but at least I feel like I did something to try and help the carpet. I need to now attack the kitchen floor. I hate hate HATE mopping so it's not going to be fun. Almost all the laundry is clean and hung and folded. Just a few more dirties in the bathroom hamper. Adalie's room is clean...for the moment but never stays that way for long now a days it seems. I try to be as productive as I can around the house when Brett is gone. It makes the time go by a little faster and usually makes me feel wonderful to have a clean Home.
We heard from Brett today after he got through with his interview. He seems to think it went pretty well and hopefully they thought so too. He was really impressed with the campus and the curriculum they have to offer. Everything is up to date with pretty high tech equipment, he gets a laptop and palm pilot for school that he gets to keep after graduation, living and rent seems to be pretty reasonable, residential area is really safe with lots of other families around, and lots of other neat perks. He was excited and they told him he would know by Friday, no later than Monday, if he is accepted. He is... I'm not worried. He is still going to check out AZ though and see what its like in early December and see what they have to offer. But...i don't know. Are we ready to call Iowa our home?!?!?

10 Honest Facts About Me
I was tagged so here it goes! Let's see...kind of long sorry. I always feel like I have to explain myslef
10 Things about me
1. I will always think I am fat. Especially when I am pregnant. Sometimes I even wear a "girdle" thingy to make me look smaller and not so "rollie pollie". I was fat all my life until I was almost 20...I am never going to think I am skinny or look good. Sad I know.
2. I still drink energy drinks from time to time. Yes, I know I am pregnant. I have an addiction. I have vowed to stop on many occasions. Latest was Nov 1st. Although - clean and sober for a little over a week now =)
3. I am not the best friend in the world to have. I hate talking on the phone to many people except for my husband, my mother, my dad, or my sisters. I LOVE texting however. Very teenager I know. Text me anytime. haha. This also makes me a very flaky person I think....especially when I am pregnant. I can't commit to much those first seven months...or the 2 months after baby gets here. I just like home a lot, where i can be myslef.
4. I can eat a box of debbie cakes by myself. The Christmas tree ones. Even if it is the only thing I eat all day I will have one every other hour until they are gone. And not tell my husband I did so.
5. I am not good at Relief Society. I'll admit it, I get bored sometimes and it is hard for me to stay awake. I am in an older family ward so sometimes I feel really young and unimportant in there. I know - something I need to deal with.
6. I really like to watch Television and i even let Adalie watch cartoons most of the day to help keep myself from going crazy stuck inside with the cold coming.
7. I spend most of the day in my "G's". Well, my garment bottoms. I will wear a T-Shirt, but really spend most of the morning in my bottoms and top and get dressed after nap time around 1:00 unless I have somewhere to go or someone is coming over. I can't find comfortable pants that I really like to wear for to long that don't hurt my prego belly after about 3 or 4 hrs.
8. My worst fear is having my family in the car and driving over a bridge and it breaking. We all fall in and I can't get everyone out in time. Or we are all stuck in there and we drown. I hate bridges...especially ones with water underneath.
9. Brett will always be the "better half" in my book. He is the one that holds everything together. Keeps me sane and is just good about everything all around. Brett hates it when I say anything about him being the better one. He says its not fair for me to think that way, we are both better with each other. See????
10. I love to spend money and shop even when we don't have the money to be spending. I have a bad habit of wanting lots of things. Especially when it comes to things for Brett or Adalie....I want them to have everything THEY want and see how happy it makes them. I also just like to spend money on fast food and sweets =)
Good? I tried, I really did. Hopefully not revealing too much about myself that I lose friends. It is funny but I think I even changed this list four or five times with all the things I was coming up with the share and in deciding what to use.
Jennifer, Carrie H., Tracy, Alicia, Kara, Kim, Karen, Crystal, Jessica, and Shannon. Sheesh is that Ten People TAGGED yet?? Okay guys, YOU'RE IT!!

Days and Baby Updates
I haven't had a phone since Monday or the Internet much either and I am surprised at myself with how much I feel like I need them when they aren't available to me. Tuesday was an absolutely horrible day. I don't even want to write about it because it was so sad I don't want to relive the day. Tuesdays are also Brett's longest days when he is gone from 7 to almost 8. Not being able to vent on the phone or the Internet all day to him or anyone was quite frustrating. It might have been a good thing though for others though, especially Brett. He turned out to have a really good and productive day himself. I got my new phone tonight though, but nothing to complain about to anyone on it. hahaha
Today I had my 25 wk apt. Everything looks good and healthy and I am measuring right on track. I got the yucky glucose test drink to check for gestational diabetes that I am supposed to take on Monday. Not looking forward to that. I am feeling a lot of pressure though this time around that I really don't remember feeling until a lot later when I was pregnant with Adalie. I am supposed to go back to "taking it easy" again. Whatever that means right?? haha I did get an official OK though to travel for the holidays coming up soon. We are going to Colorado for Thanksgiving and Texas for Christmas this year and I am getting so, so anxious. I just LOVE the holidays and I miss our families so much. Brett starts off the traveling this next week with his PED interview in Iowa on Monday. Wish him luck. He will be a nervous wreck for the next few weeks until we know something. Hopefully the holidays will give him an excuse not to think about it though.

One Car
Well we are back to being a one car family again! Saturday someone came and bought our Jeep. It was such a good car. I loved the four wheel drive. I felt invincible in the snow LoL Although during the summer it is miserable without the AC and the gas millage is horrible. It would take $60 to fill her up twice, sometimes three times a month when it was the only car we had. Driving one car has its perks though. 1. We save on gas money. 2. We save on insurance. 3. I don't go anywhere during the day where I can spend money frilly nilly without Brett being there to talk some since into me. haha All around, a good money saver for our family I think. Besides, winter is coming up soon and I don't like driving around in the snow very much and I don't think I will want to go anywhere in a couple of months anyways with a newborn baby and Toddler in the house.
So a little shout out to the one car families out there and to our Jeep that was so good to us in the end. Last summer you gave us quite a scare with all the money we had to put in you but at least we got some of it back in the sale. It was given to us by Brett's parents anyways after we got married so even though it was older and had a few kinks, it was free. And no one can argue with a free car. And it was SO NICE not to have a car payment. Brett misses the man power he felt in it...you just can't get the same feeling when driving a mini van around.

Side Note
Having a daughter who likes sweets JUST as much as you do and that did not inherit her fathers dis-taste of pure chocolate is not good. I am a horrible influence haha
Yay For Brett!!
Brett has beard back from all three Podiatry schools and we have interviews set up over the next few weeks. Fun on our pocket book no doubt, but SOOO exciting!! He is a shoe in for all three, I am sure of it. He has wonderful grades, a great text score, and a personality that will win them over in the interviews. The hard part will be deciding where to go. Iowa is our first choice, Az our second, and Ohio our third. At least that's what we think so far lol. He will get more of a feel for the schools when he gets back from the interviews but I think that's the order for now. And whoever wants to give us free money in scholarships might make a difference too. haha
I am so excited to be approaching the next step of our wonderfully hectic life together. It has been a fun four years of school together so far and I am sure we can handle 6 or 7 more. Our goal is done with school and residency at 32. LoL He has got so much work ahead of him but I know how absolutely wonderful he is and he is going to do so great. I am sorry for bragging but he just makes me so proud. Such a good and hard working man. I need to be so much better about not stressing him and making him worry about silly things and complaints that I always seems to have. He is so good to me and such a wonderful daddy who already does so much. Love you again honey...sorry if I embarrassed you with this journal entry to the world. =)

Halloween Night!!
Yay!! This year for Halloween Adalie was a pirate Princess. I think her favorite part was getting to wear some of mommies eye make-up of which she still has little raccoon eyes this morning from.
LoL We got to go trick or treating!! It wasn't too cold after all so we snuck in a few houses with Adalie who had a BLAST!! She was a little scared of some of the older kids costumes so she would make us carry her every now and then and wait till they left the house before she would go and knock on the door again herself.
Brett started our night off by cooking some wonderful Hungarian stuffed peppers. It turns out I LOVE Anaheim peppers (sp?) I am not normally a big pepper fan so I was just kind of planning on unstuffing mine and eating the meat inside but I decided to give it a try and they are DELICIOUS!!! We had our friends/neighbors over for dinner and they made us some great pumpkin chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Then they went trick or treating with us. It was a great Halloween night here I am excited to read about yours!! Happy Halloween!!
