Budapest

Everyone try to convince Brett that we should go to Hungary this summer ok?? If we don't do it now, I don't think we will be able to do it for like 15 more years AT LEAST. In the mean time, there will be more babies, residency, moves, etc. So, everyone tell Brett it is a good idea. We have not been on a real vaca since our honeymoon. Besides a night or two for our anniversary, going to see the in laws, or local date nights, I know it would be really, reeeaaalllllly fun!! My argument: Whats another 3,500ish when you're going to be 200,000ish in MED school debt anyways? Not the smart way to think, but I really want to go. LoL Come on guys help me out. Chris?? Carrie?? Want to go with us?!?!?

Yesterday while running some errands i stopped to get adalie some french fries. while driving on the highway she dropped her fries on the car floor from her car seat. I didn't even say anything and she says,

Adalie: "I dropped my fries!"
Me: "Sorry honey I am driving I can't do anything about it now"
Adalie: "You know, that was your fault"
Me: "What?! how was that my fault I am driving. You're the one who dropped them so I think it is your fault"
Adalie: "No it is your fault. You were going over the hill and made me drop my fries."
Me: "Honey, I am just driving like I always do. I am pretty sure it was your fault this time"
Adalie: "Well...No thanks to your driving."

Really!?!? Where does she get this stuff from??

The Weekend

The weekend was absolutely wonderful? What did we do? Absolutely nothing! LoL It was soooo nice though to veg and relax. Brett was recovering from a huge anatomy test he had taken on Friday, so doing something that didn't require much thinking was right up his alley. Saturday was a pretty yucky and rainy day anyways, so staying home wasn't a bit dissatisfying. We watched movies all day and even took in some Domino's pizza. I don't even think any of us changed out of our Pj's. Sunday was a great day at Church. We had a huge roast cooking in the crock pot all day. I always love coming home to a house that smells like something good to eat. We had the missionaries over for dinner. Brett did the dishes.

It was a really great, really lazy, carefree weekend. One of my favorite things to do is just hang out with my husband. He is my absolute best friend....who I can make out with anytime I want. haha

The Zoo

Despite the sickly in our house, we have been doing some fun things...I just keep forgetting to pull out the camera and show you.

A few weekends ago we got to go to the Zoo. We bought a Zoo and Science Museum year pass and they are both about 15 mins away so it is a great way for the kids and I to pass the time if we ever get too bored with Brett at school all day. But, the first time visit are reserved with Dad's company included =)

It is a pretty small Zoo. There are no Bears or Elephants....and a few other animals missing so that was kind of sad. It does however have a petting zoo, a train, and a park inside to play on. A perfect little toddler Zoo. It was a great Saturday and I am so glad Brett decided to spend it with us instead of his books for most of the day =) The Zoo is kind of a tradition in our house. We have been to 5 zoos in 5 states. We LOVE the zoo!

All in all the best part is we got to be together and enjoy family time on a beautiful Saturday here in Des Moines!! There are tons of pictures! Enjoy!

Poor Cason

Cason had his six mth check up on Monday (even though eh is actually 7 mths). Our big boy is 17.8 lbs and 28 in. Poor little man was supposed to get his shots but couldn't because he has a double ear infection. Dr says it looks like it might have been there for about a week. I thought it was just his major teething that has been giving him a yucky nose as of late, but it turns out the green nasty snot that we have had lately is due to the ear infections. I feel horrible because I have been annoyed with his extra whines and cries, but now I see the reason why. Poor, poor baby Cason.
