Life Now
Let's see....life right now. We have been doing a lot of hanging out in the house due to unbearably hot weather. Sometimes I get brave and venture into the heat wave, but then I remember. I am in love with the ac and not so much with sweat. I hear it is cooling off though, so we will have to check that out.
Brett has been doing a lot of studying.....nothing new right?? Well this time is a little different. It's the first half of his boards. It's a "See I am competent enough to be a dr" test, so its kind of a big deal. Lesson about my husband -- It's hard to tell when he is stressed. Good and bad thing. I think he is stressed, so often he let's it creep out but his stressed is also the same as being grumpy because he is hungry. Non the less, I feed him often so he doesn't get too cranky. Seems to be ok. Husband works well under pressure...and a full tummy.
Kids. Adalie finished her first little season of T Ball. Her daddy was even the couch. Something he says he will not do again =) I am a terrible mother and didn't get pictures. Well I got this one....

There is a team picture which Brett needs to scan in for me.... There are actually 9 kids on the team but only 5 showed for picture day. She is starting TBall again this Saturday. Since Brett will be able to sit with me, I will not be spending my whole time trying to keep Cason off the field and Brody screaming his head clean off. This will allow me to take pictures. Like a good mother does right??
Cason. Oh Cason.....He still pitches a fit for bedtime about 95% of the time and nap times have become few and far between. At least i can still get what we call "quite time" in for about an hour. He has a gate in the frame of his door and cannot get out. You know....like prison =) He is starting to talk more, which is fun. He sings all the time. I love that my kids love to sing.

Brody. One happy baby. He is getting so fun. He is teething which accounts for a lot of drool and sometimes crying spells, but most of the time he is all smiles. He rolls all over the place. He also sleeps on his tummy. This must be a hereditary trait as all of my kids end up on their tummies by 4 mths. Brett and I both cannot stand sleeping on our backs. He screams a lot. Not mad screaming, just loud talking really. How else does he expect to be heard in this place?? Poor kid has heard screaming since he entered the womb so he knows nothing else except for it to be normal.
Mommy. doing pretty well. I have gone a little crazy and have cut sugar out of my life for the next 30 days. i am 4 days strong. Sad, but a really big deal for me. I would eat cake all day if I had it. I think I might give myself an exception for my birthday later this month. That's not cheating right?? Also, I have let my house and laundry go to heck this past week. Rarely do I wash a dish, fold a shirt, or vacuum a floor. I am paying for it now. I DID fold 2 baskets of laundry and load the dishwasher today....which of course, means I am amazing.

Bedtime Ryhme
It was half pass seven, when all through the house
The kids were all crying and running about
See, we switched Cason's bed for the crib was too short
His head and his feet were on their way to contort
So for me to deal with that my little mans gotten big
We moved out the baby bed to use for our next little pig
Cason's first night was hard - a rucuss no doubt
He kept turning on lights, opening doors to get out!
We finially had to click off his light from above
Becuase, news to me, he can reach the lightswitch thereof
We had put up a gate in the frame of his door
To keep him inside, but then he played with the toys all over his floor
So after our efforts of of playing his game
In the bed, out of bed, - so much of the same
I layed down with him, cause he wanted me close
After counting to 100 I gave him a kiss and bid adios!
He cried for a while, but stayed in his bed.
He finally gave up the fight and layed down his head
It took only 2 hours before he would sleep
Tonight was no different, he creid and he weeped
Its so strange to see all my babies get older and grow
I still fight back tears and sometimes get low
But now all my kiddos are tucked in their beds
While visions of sweets I'm sure fills their heads
Daddy's at work and mommy is out on the couch
Catching up with Jericho on netflix no doubt
As if you can't tell right now I'm a bore
So I came up with this ryhme so I'l blog some more!
So goodnight baby girl and goodnight to my boy
I'm still working on baby so read and enjoy!

Shame on me
I am so incredibly lucky- no blessed to have the life i have. To have married a man I love who loves me back. To have wonderful, happy, healthy children. To know what I Know. What else should matter?
Yours Needed
This time next yr my husband will be leaving us for quite a bit with a few possible visits here and there. It's starting to hit me that this is definitely going to happen. I don't do well by myself, so this will be challenging for me. No doubt. I know a lot of you out there have done without your spouses from time to time and you have know idea how amazing I think you are for being strong women. Tell me how you do it. Mine isn't even going off to be in any kind of immediate danger of war or service, but I know I am going to miss him like crazy. I have become quite dependent on him for anything and everything. I am trying to use this next yr to prepare myself so I am taking words of wisdom/advice now. I love you ladies...let me know how its done =)
