Gas Tank Woes

I was trying to think of something to post about and my life has been relatively boring as of late, but I did remember a funny story I could share with you...

When we first got our van, we stopped at the gas station next door to fill her up before we got home. Brett needed gas in his car too so I pulled up in the spot behind him. He came and put the hose in my tank also and I just sat in the car with Adalie. Well, I see Brett start driving off so i figured my tank was full also and just hadn't noticed him putting up my hose. Well he didn't. I started to drive off with the gas hose still in the van. Brett was freaking out and jumped out of his car to chase after me. HIS tank was full and he was just moving his car because another car was waiting.... Luckily there was no damage done to either the new van we had just gotten or the stores fuel tank. Just another moment in life where I looked like a complete idiot and another reason for Brett to hate my driving...

oh my gosh. i have SOOO many terrible gas station experiences. my first being the time that my mom tried to teach me how to pump gas and when she said to remove the nozzle, she forgot to mention to let go my grip. so i definitely sprayed gasoline all over myself and nearby family members. and we were on a road trip. so then we had to ride with the windows down because i reeked of gasoline so bad and the fumes were giving us all headaches.

scarred me for life. i still hate getting gas.

haha I remember being in the car with Grandmama one time, and she did the same thing. It was one of the only times I remember her cussing in front of me. haha I don't remember who else was with us. Were you there?
