We dyed eggs....even Brody got to try it out, which was of course a mess.
We took the kids that morning to a city Easter Eggs hunt. They had it split into age groups so Cason and Adlalie were in separate group. Good thing though, because those 5-7 yr olds were RUTHLESS. i wish I had the camera with me to get that action shot of all those big kids taking off.
We also took the kids to the zoo after the hunt for their Easter Eggstravaganza. The zoo is a little sad right now since it is going under a facelift, but it was fun to get out and about still. The weather was terrible, cold and wet, but the kids did not seem to mind. The Easter Bunny was there. Adalie later asked me why he wasn't in a cage like all of the other zoo animals.
Well, despite my kids' (and mine) bad attitudes lately, the Easter Bunny still came.
Adalie got a Barbie Cruise ship ( we got it on sale after Christmas and just hid it in our closet to give to her for Easter.)
Cason got himself a new bike. It's green. His favorite Color =) And he very excited to learn how to ride it! He practiced all morning in the house and there are little black tire marks all over my floor to prove it. One of the Training wheels came off and he brought it to dad and said "The Easter bunny didn't screw it in!" Oh that darn Easter bunny...sheesh. You would have never known he waited until 10 the night before to put that thing together! It was a fun Easter. I am so thankful for a living Savior. We had a big dinner with friends, got lots of fun treats, and i still feel like i might pop from all the crud i ate. Brett and i are starting up some insanity workouts again tonight before I go in for surgery again next week. i just might barf.
Happy Easter Everyone!
