aPoem

There once was a mother of two
Who had a million and one things to do
She cooked and she cleaned
Did some laundry in the machine
Now she nominates the folding to you

Don't forget to put them away too...
Socks go in the bottom drawer
Thanks

TubesPart2

Well Tubes went Ok for Little Man. We got there at 6:45, he went in at 8:20 and was out by 8:35. The actual procedure took like 10 minutes, but the waiting around was terrible. I felt so bad when I handed him over to the anesthesiologists...he had no idea what hat lady was about to do to him. And boy did he wake up piiiissssssedddd. They came and got me when he started to come out of the anesthetic and he was kicking and screaming his head off. Poor kid didn't know where he was and where he had just been. It took 30 minutes to get him to stop screaming and hitting me. I wonder where his mind went during it all...He hated me all almost day. Right when we got home he clung to his daddy and cried every time Brett tried to hand him over to me or he left the room without Cason. He was pretty great by the evening though, playing and laughing and I even got a few cuddles with him last night. Hopefully I am forgiven.

Tubes

I have to post something else. I am sure Brett doesn't enjoy his sick post every time he gets on here. Although, I don't have much to post about really. Today is a boring catch up day full of chores and winey babies. Cason has to have tubes in his ears tomorrow. Poor kid. But he has had a double ear infection literally every other week since October. And his sleeping habits are off the wall. Hopefully the poor kid will get a break with the surgery and the suffering on both our parts will stop. Not excited about getting there at 6am-ish though. He also doesn't get to eat after 12 so I will have myself one cranky baby in the a.m. is well. Anywho, I know the surgery isn't a big deal but I am still way worried for my little man. Cross your fingers it all goes well.

Poor Brett

Well for the 3rd time in our 5 yr marriage Brett is sick. And when I say sick....I mean like a dog. That's the saying right? Sick like a dog?? The first year we got married, he was up all night with food poisoning...I had even found him the next morning out of our bed and asleep on the bathroom floor. I was never aloud to bring home Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce again. 2nd time was when he and I both got sick together with the swine flu in December '09. Last Night it seemed like food poisoning was yet again the answer as Brett spent most of the night on the bathroom floor again. Poor guy, he is never sick....there is something magical in the Sorensen boy jeans that I wish my kids would've inherited. Poor guy. Now we are never going to be able to have sweet and spicy slow cooked ribs again. Sad, because they were really, really good going down. Not so much coming up though...Hope you feel better babe.

The Bank

Every time I pull into the Bank drive through I have a mini heart attack. Why you ask?? Because, no matter how many times I do it, I ALWAYS forget how to fill out a deposit slip or forget how to get cash back and I am afraid of the judging eyes of the teller behind the window....hence why I usually never go straight to the window and I always park at the furthest drive thru thingy. The other day, i was not so lucky because the window teller was the only one open. It took forever to fill out the deposit form, I checked about thirty times to make sure every t was crossed and i dotted, and I am sure the lady was wondering what the heck my deal was. I never made eye contact with her....I was afraid her stare would make me feel stupid. As I slid the slip and my driver's license though the whole, I kept my eyes down and even pretended to talk to Adalie so I wouldn't have to look at the teller while she looked at my slip. Then I heard the microphone crackling
"Hi Mrs. Sorensen how are you?" "I am good thank you and you?" "Great. I'm afraid though I can't cash your check here though as this is MetLife Bank and not Bank of America, that is next door. Would you like to open and account with us today?"

I pulled in one parking lot too soon. Nice one Lydia. Now my anxiety of the Bank increases...

Loss Of Social Networking

My internet and phone has been out since the day we got home and I have been trying to get it to work and now I am getting a few minutes of airtime so I better write and make the most of it! Getting home was bitter sweet...mostly bitter because of family missed and school starting again. Sweet because we had our own beds again LoL. Brett is finding it hard to get back into the swing of things with school and the kids are extra clingy and needy for attention since the got boocoos of it during the break. I am currently trying to get them back on a schedule which did not exist on vacation.
The New Year came in and I didn't make many goals since we were on the road....Monday will be our day to start things off. Brett and I have to sit down and make some. Anywho, all week long I thought of tons of fun things to write about on our blog but the minute I gave up on our internet, it started working and now I can't remember a thing to write about. Here are a few pictures though of our adorable children I forgot to post from Christmas....Hopefully the blogging mind will come back to me again soon and the internet will be working then.
