A New Car

We are now a mini-van family!! Hehe So fun and so nice!! We bought it used, of coarse but it is in such great condition! Seating for 7 which is way cool. The AC is absolutely wonderful lol I have forgotten what it was like!! It even has a little DVD system in it for the kiddos. So fun. I still can't believe we actually got one. I have never bought a car before, so it feels kind of invigorating hahaha. The best part is we can hopefully have it paid off in a year which is GREAT!!! woo hoo!!

Brett is going to be SO mad!!

Today I moved some of our living room furniture around.

Don't worry. I scooted everything....It took me almost five hours to move the couch and a love seat. I know what you are thinking What about your pelvis rest? I know I know I know, I should be ashamed of myself but I just couldn't help it!! Our electricity went out and the Internet wasn't working and I had absolutely nothing to do for like an hour...I got really, really bored. I feel great though!!! My energy has boosted so so much! Don't worry I promise I am okay!! I feel really guilty though like I needed to tell someone and confess haha hence the blogging about it. Brett comes home in an hour...I am scared lol.

I won't do it again...I promise.

Car Shopping and Random Other Things

We have wanted a new car for almost a year now. I absolutely hate car shopping though!!! Ugh!! Brett and I are both first time car buyers so it stinks even more. One day we will like one thing and the next it is not so good. Today we want a mini van. Yesterday an SUV. Tomorrow, a nice gas efficient car. We just want something new. Well, actually used - but still nice since we are poor college students. lol. I hate used car buying too just for the fact I hate unpredictability and I always feel like people are trying to rip us off. I desperately want a new car. The jeep has been so good to us ,but it has no ac which has just about killed me this summer. I am so afraid of getting something that is just going to give out on us in a few months anyways....ugh I am such a pessimist!!!
Another note, Brett has been studying like crazy lately. He is getting ready for the MCAT which he takes on Sept 4th. Poor guy, he is so stressed but I know he will do great. He is so smart and never gives himself enough credit. I am going to be so glad when this semester is over and we know where we will be going for school next year. I hate not knowing where we will end up. Az is our first choice and i really really don't want to go to chicago lol. I am just nervous about the east coast. Its the Texan in me, I know.
Adalie is doing great. I think she has hit a growth spyrt which is fun! That means new clothes soon, which daddy isn't too excited about lol. i go crazy with all the little girl clothes out there they are just so darn cute. She is learning her colors and numbers. She can count to five with her fingers and counts everything. We have steps on our porch, and she has to count them everytime before she comes into the house. She is one smart little girl...to smart for her own good cometimes haha.
Anyway, everything else is fine. I am feeling better, but bored out of my mind as I am trying to get used to just being home all of the time. We have been at my sister in laws for a couple of days whihc has been really nice. Grandma is also visiting at Monica's house and has been taking good care of me and letting me get some rest. I have the best mother in law and my sisiter in law and her family are so good to us too.
Side note!! My nephew opens his mission call tomorrow!! Sometimes it feels so funny to have a neice and nephew at 21 and 19....how weird is it they will be ahving kids when I have kids??

My Happy Girl

My mother in law is in town and is staying with my sister in law in Ogden. She has been itching to spend time with Adalie (who she never gets to see because she lives in Colorado) so she is staying the night at her aunt Monica's house until Saturday. She is taking the grandkids to a water park tomorrow and I am so nervous...I am just a worrier so my mind goes to every worst possible thought of me not being there when she is around water.
This is weird. She is always her and the last time she stayed overnight without us was our anniversary back in June for a night. Mom wants me to get some rest and I am supposed to be doing nothing for a few days lol. I am not used to doing sitting still. I have always been a working mom and I am trying to get used to being just mommy here at home. I love being with Adalie all day and always here when Brett gets home, but I get so bored!! haha I am going to have to tune up my mommy and house wife skills.

She is getting ready for the new baby and practices on her dolls. She assures me she is going to be a big help. She seems to think, most of the time, she is having a baby sister...who she says is going to be named butter.

I am exhausted a lot and sometimes after church Adalie and I don't make it very long before we are passed out. Brett snapped this one while we were sleeping. Please excuse my big rear. lol

My little vampire baby. Do you see those eye teeth?? This girl has the sharpest teeth ever!!! She may look like her daddy but she gets her fun little quorks about herself from me. When I was about 11 I had to get my eye teeth filed because they were too sharp.lol Also, she has webbed toes....also from her mom. haha

More News

Well we had another Dr's apt the other day and got some not so fun news. I have what is called "placenta previa". It means my placenta is covering the cervix. It is a high risk for a miscarriage and also, if it doesn't get corrected, I will be having a c-section. It is actually a common thing with a lot of pregnancies but usually corrects itself before the third tri-mester. We just entered the 2nd at 12 wks and 3 days, so the Doctor has put me on "pelvic rest" (shot out to my homie Ashleigh woot woot lol). So, Friday I had to stop working and will be for at least 6 wks until they do another ultrasound to see whats going on. Stopping work was quite the shock and we are having to do a little "financial adjusting" so it should be interesting. I can't drive a lot or walk around so this sitting around in the house basically doing nothing all day just might kill me. Adalie isn't too hard to watch and doesn't really need to be picked up anymore so we should be okay in that department. I am just so used to doing stuff....I don't know what to do all day at home by myself lol. Anywho, sorry about all the bad you have been hearing about lately. Hopefully things will pick up soon!!

What do you do all day?

I have absolutely no energy so the answer for me is. not much at all. LoL. Adalie and I do a lot of just hanging out. And naps. haha. My iron is extremely low again this pregnancy (not too surprised), worse than it was with Adalie so I always just feel worn out, even from walking from one room to another. i met with a nutritiousness the other day to talk about things I can do in my daily diet to help bring it up. The answer? Lots of red meat!! Ugh. Our freezer is now full of steaks, ribs, pork, just all kinds of meat meat and more meat! I even think there is some liver in there....gross. Brett is way excited to grill everyday. I take about 4 different pills a day and feel like an 80 year old woman.
I am 12 weeks now so hopefully the naseua will end soon and I will get an extra kick of energy. I have had a lot of back and cramping since the begginning so we had to go in for an ultrasound. Everything looked good. Baby is doing great it seems, but they are a little worried about my health for some reason. The way the doctor explained it was calling the baby a parisyte. Basically, it will always take what it needs and leaves me with nothing. My body isn't keeping the iron or calcium it is supposed to be absorbing. So I am taking lots of meds and doing a major diet change...wish me luck.
Anywho, a quick shot out to all the prego ladies out there since there are quite a few of us, good luck and hope you're doing well!!
