Lehi Rodeo

On Thursday night we went to the Lehi Rodeo. It was my first time to even go to a rodeo. Brett apparently grew up on them so like i have said before, it was a shock to him when he found out a long time ago that I have never been to one.
It was on our list of things to do together and we got to mark it off!! Although I am pretty sure this will be continued family affair. It was a lot of fun! We didn't get to stay for the whole thing because it went until 11 and our kids get pretty cranky after 8, but the parts we did see were pretty awesome.

Those guys are amazing! i don't think i could handle getting trampled by a horse and still be walking away on my own two feet.

Adalie seemed to enjoy herself until about 9:30 when she kept asking to go home....

Cason would even watch the horses zoom by right in front of us when the cowboys would try and round them up. Dirt was flying everywhere! Any who, it is a great family activity and I would definitely recommend anyone going!!

The Packing

Has begun at the Sorensen House....has been going on for a while I suppose. There are boxes everywhere and I still feel like we have so much to do. Time seems like it is actually starting to kick off. We leave in 2 wks, an we are getting sooooo anxious. It is going to be a long month on the road in July visiting so many places, but we are getting excited! It will be fun having a new home in a new town. Hard to be away from family, but still fun I think.Brett and I are doing great. He works, but gets to be home a lot during the week with us and it has been wonderful. I am enjoying the family time a lot.

We went to the BYU Bean Museum (one of Adalie's favorite places) and it was great! It is crazy! Wouldn't that be a fun place to be when the resurrecting starts happening??

Brett and I are on a pretty hard core diet to kick start our weight loss. Brett is already about 15 lbs down since February and I am 13. Our goal is about 10 more lbs in the next month and 1/2......doable right? Ugh, I am not sure if Brett would prefere a skinny wife or a happy wife though...I am utterly convinced there is no way to be happy 24/7 when you are starving yourself. I love food. Wonderful, beautiful, delicious food....
Adalie and Cason are doing great. I cannot believe Adalie will be 3 next month and Cason is already 4mths!

He is such a funny little kid. He has discovered he can spit and make lots and lots of noises. His favorite is this little high pitch squeal he does....sounds like he is singing. He does it a lot when I sing to him, so I call it singing lol. He luaghs at absolutely everything, but his sister can make him laugh the hardest for sure.

They are both happy and healthy...all we could ask for and lots lots more.

And we're back!

We have tons to post about but I will write about this one since we are fresh from the trip...

We went on a little anniversary extravaganza and it was absolutely wonderful! Don't get me wrong, i always miss the kiddos like crazy when we leave them for a bit and I call to check on them constantly (I am annoying mom for sure) but it was nice to have some Brett and Lydia time without waking up and having to change a diaper and put Adalie on the potty first thing in the am.
We stayed at the Hilton in SLC and when they heard we were on our anniversary trip, they even upgraded our room to one of the top floors in a Kings suite. It was soooooo nice. The bed was perfect and I wanted to take it home with me.My other favorite part besides how huge it was???.......

heaven with bubbles and jets =) (and don't worry...we did not drink the wine in the picture lol) We completely spoiled ourselves with junk food, restaurants, and even went to two movies in a real theater and not waiting for the dollar theater or a red box dvd (HUGE deal for us) Robin Hood and Prince of Persia....both absolutely wonderful movies. It was just really great and my honey is awesome and amazing. I had so much fun babe and love you lots and lots!!

GoodBye Fish

I can't help but feel a little guilty writing this post and I am 100% positive that Adalie is going to hold this over our heads one day with disbelief that we made her do this...
About a year ago, we got Adalie some fish for her birthday. She named them Marny and Reka. Well, with the move coming up, we are soon faced with the challenge of moving those fish too. We will be on the road pretty much the whole month of July for weddings and family and won't even get to our new place in Iowa until July 29th, so feeding, care, and fishs's transportation becomes a problem. So the solution? Someone bought our fish tank but didn't want the fish. So Brett scooped them up into Mason jars and we asked Adalie if we should let the fishes go live with their friends at the pond. To our surprise, this actually turned out quite well. On the way to the pond to release the fish she kept talking about how they are going to get big and fat and they are going to have a "sleepover" and that we would just pick them up later. When we got there, we told her they were going to live there but we would come and visit them everyday and bring them some food so they could get big and fat. It was sooo cute to watch her release the fish with her daddy. She was introducing them to the other fish and the ducks in the pond and telling them to give each other hugs. It made us feel a little sad because I really didn't know she had grown that attached to them. She was great about the whole thing though and we even went to visit them today at the park. It was the first thing she wanted to do when she woke up this morning. And what did we bring them to eat? Her goldfish ate Goldfish....the crackers =)

Yesterday

Was A GREAT day!!First, it was our anniversary! Woo Hoo!! 4 years, 3 cities, 2 kids, and 1 college later and still going strong! =)

Brett gave me a beautiful bouquet of roses and we also got to go to a movie last night, The Bounty Hunter, which was cute for the dollar movie experience. Next week is when we really celebrate though. Brett got us a hotel room in SLC for a few days without the kiddos =)
We have been promising Adalie we would take her to ChuckECheese's for a long time. It was her reward for potty training, but something would always come up and we haven't been able to make it for the last month. Finally, we had the time and it was lots of fun! She LOVED it! She even ran up to Chucky and gave him a huge hug. I was way surprised she even knew who he was, but I guess we have been talking about it for so long that I shouldn't have been. The pizza wasn't my favorite but Brett had to remind me we weren't there for me LoL.
