Tuesday

Today is going to be a long day. Brett is gone all day studying for a huge test tomorrow so I probably won't see him until about 8ish is my guess. He gets Monday off though, so we need to find something fun to do this weekend. So today will be filled with lots of cartoons, snacks, and laziness.....we spoil ourselves when Brett is gone lol Did I ever show you how Cason holds his bottles?? He uses his feet. As soon as he lays down and I put a bottle in his mouth, he grabs with his hands and uses his feet to steady it. Pretty funny stuff.
I have been thinking tons about going back to school. I really really want to do something. Anyone every tried BYU Independent study?? Does it work to get a Masters? I think I eventually want to go to PA school....or maybe back to optometry school, my original plan?? Right now with little ones, I am playing mommy I know, but they will all be in school within the next 10 years so I could definitely be done by 35 I think. Not too bad right? If all goes as planned, Brett will be done by 33 so I think it is doable. Anywho, just a thought really I haven't done anything serious about it yet. LoL
Alright, time to get serious and start the day. I guess I should get out of the PJs and get my kids dressed too. Good Morning Tuesday!!

White Coat Ceremony

So I know some of you know about this already, but the White Coat Ceremony is a tradition they do in MED school for their students. One of the Dr's there called it a "right of passage" lol. Brett had his on Saturday and it was so fun to see him get his coat! When he walked across the stage, Adalie screamed out "That's my daddy!! Go daddy".
The ceremony is kind of a quite one, so it was cute but also unexpectedly embarrassing haha. A group of us wives all sat together so we could help with each others kiddos. You should've seen the looks we got. It is definitely not like a BYU ceremony. 5 mothers and 10 kids between us....you can imagine the noise we might have made.
I asked Brett if he felt any different and he said not really. But one guy did comment on how much it was like a graduation and kind of felt that the ceremony was a celebration of the end rather than the beginning...and they all had to go and still study. Either way, just another moment I am very proud of my husband.
This is Brett's carpool, also the husbands of the wives i sat with. We are all quickly becoming good friends here.

Sneak

Yesterday, I left a Pepsi downstairs on the living room side table. I went upstairs to Adalie's room to finish organizing her closet. I was up there for about 2o mins and came back downstairs to an empty Pepsi can. I asked Adalie what happened to the pepsi, thinking maybe it had spilled but I couldn't find any wet marks or stains on the carpet. Adalie finally said "I sneaked it." When I told her that was wrong and dishonest and she shouldn't be drinking Pepsi (ya I am sure that makes me a caffeine drinking hypocrite) she says to me, "Well I told you I was a sneak."

Little devil.

Some of my 7 to 12:30 thoughts

I am really upset I that I cannot find our camera. There are so many cute pictures on it from the road trip this summer. There goes 200$ down the drain, but the memories missed are really what makes me sad.

Brett is staying at school until 7 today....the price we pay for him coming home early yesterday. That gives him 30 mins with Cason and 1 hour with Adalie until bedtime, which also makes me sad.

Yo Gabba Gabba is the freakiest little kid show ever.

I have so many unfinished projects. I should probably finish them.

It's kind of annoying that Cason only crawls backwards. He gets his feet stuck under the couch. He gets mad when he reaches the wall and can't do anything from there.

I've already finished off the bag of mini powdered donuts and its 12:30. Brett is going to be mad I didn't leave him any they're his favorite...

I kind of want to go to Med school now that Brett is going. They learn some pretty cool stuff.

I want to take a nap.

I really like my new vacuum. But, I don't want to vacuum the stairs.

I am so excited for Black Friday...even though it is months away.

Who am I kidding?? I am excited for Christmas!!

Wonderful Surprise

Brett got to come home at 12 today which was AWESOME!! The fire alarm went off at school so they closed down campus for the day. Even though he is upstairs studying it is nice to have him home. Just knowing he is there makes my day about 10x's better!! Waiting for Brett to get home in the evenings always gives me a little anxiety LoL That problem was eliminated today! Woo Hoo! School is getting tough and his anatomy class starts tomorrow....cadavers and all so the load will be hefty. He has two big test next week back to back so he is hitting the lectures hard. I am so proud, he is doing great. He got a 92 on his first test last week. Keep up the good work honey, I really am sooooo proud of you and your goals!!

What would you do?

Our neighbors have drums.

In our Contract it says we agree not to "make or permit noises inside or outside the unit that will disturb the rights or comforts of any resident. Acts and noises include, but are not limited to, keeping the volume of and stereo equipment, television, or musical instrument at a level that will disturb any resident." Drums fall into that category yes?? Also, I am a disturbed resident. The thing is, I really don't mind them playing them, even though it is horribly loud and obnoxious, I am willing to compromise and not be mean. I just wish they could pick a different time and maybe only do it an hour instead of 2 1/2??? We have gone over there four times and knocked on the door and rang the door bell just to talk to them nicely about it. They have ignored us and won't even answer the door when we go over. The will stop playing there drums until we get off of their porch and start again....louder and longer. Last night they started playing at 7:30....which is when Cason usually goes to bed. It was really nice of them when they didn't answer the door again.

I was going to be a nice neighbor and try and solve this by just talking to them and asking nicely, but now the 3 yr old in me is coming out and wants to show them whats what. Maybe hit them on the head with their own drum stick??
