Disney Part 1

DisneyLand was such a great family vacation for us! It was a long week and we are still in the process of un-spoiling our children from the experience of it all. The plan ride to California wasn't very fun with Cason on our laps. That boy DOES NOT like to be held for very long and just wants to run everywhere so small plane and small seats were not a good thing for this kid. We had a three day pass for Disneyland and California adventures. First day we did Disneyland and it was a lot of fun! Way crowded, of course, but that week was also California's spring break and probably added to the chaos of it all. I love that Disneyland is so kid friendly. Adalie could pretty much do everything there, except for a few things and even got to go on a real roller coaster ride...which we made her ride twice and the second time she said she was going to throw up. Cason was in awe of everything that was going on around him. He never wanted to get off the rides after they were done and wanted to walk everywhere.
Disneyland is a funny place to me. I loved watching all the parents with small kids....every kid was having break downs all around the same time due to missed nap times. It was comforting to see other parents sympathizing with each other when another child would be throwing a temper tantrum. Happened often and our children are beasts when they don't get enough sleep. We owe a huge thank you to Brett's parents and Monica and her daughter Macady for helping us with our children this vacation.

Well I will stop here...this post is getting pretty long and I have barely written about the trip at all. This might be a few day blogging post....But here are some pictures of Day One of the trip!! Enjoy!

Cason was so happy with the Nemo ride. A little scary being in a very small metal container with tons of people under water for a 15 min ride.....even if it was only 4 or 5 ft under the water.

Braggin A Little...

I just want to say how amazingly wonderful my husband is. He sure knows how to take care of mommy when she is sick... He even came home in the middle of his school day to let me take a nap. Cleaned while I was sleeping, washed and folded laundry, and the kids are still alive and fairly happy considering they aren't 100% either. (neither is he!!) I love you lots honey, thanks for putting up with me and helping out so much...I don't know what I did to deserve such a great man in my life but I got one.

Hello Again World!!

Wow! Long time no blog people!! How ya been out there?? Well, we've been pretty busy around here.... First of the busy. Last week was our family trip to DisneyLand in California and it was SO GREAT!! Brett's mom and dad and his sister and her daughter met us there and we all got to go together. 3 day passes to Dsineyland and California Adventures. I don't really have time to post about it in detail (hence the next reason we have been so busy around here).I will be working on the actual experience itself soon, I promise. ....our house is infested with sick. It has made it's terrible way through the children, I think Cason is on his last leg of it (hopefully), and sick is now working its magic on Brett as we speak. Not. Fun. At. All. My house is gross and smells like vomit and poop. Don't come over, its pretty disgusting around here. Our compeuter got sick too and Brett is currently trying to get it well. Hence no pictures just yet of our wonderful vacation and household for a bit. Hopefully thats up and running normal agian soon too. huh, I guess that about summs up the busy. Doesn't sound like much when written down, but it is when you're living it I suppose. Anywho, pray the sick leaves soon and i won't have to take Brett to the hospital tonight....poor guy. When he gets sick, which doesn't happen too often, he maxes it out. Sort of makes up for lost time I suppose. Hope all is well with you out there though in the world wide web of blogging!! Food for thought: Why is it still snowing in Iowa???? Let's get over yourself mother nature and get things going already!!

Happy St. Patty's DAY!

What a fun day! I started the day off by getting my hair done! Brett helped me dye my hair last night... purple. =) Looks pretty cool. My haircut looks a little boyish but there is nothing I can do about it now. Oh well! What's a year growing it out again?? Ugh. We went downtown to a St. Patty, parade and it was perfect weather' not too much Sun but not cold... a perfect 70 degrees Any who here are a few pictures of us in the Holiday Spirit! Spring Break

Means some good ole' Spring Cleaning around here!! Although Spring Break doesn't start officially until next Monday, you won't find me complaining one bit because Brett was done with Tests and classes today!! WooHoo!! Absolutely Awesome!! He is helping me clean, which is great...my house is a disaster zone. Tomorrow I get 3 whole hours all to myself....kind of a big deal for me =) I am getting my hair done and my pedi that Brett got for me a few weeks ago. Perfect. THEN next week is DISNEY!! Holy Cow I feel like a kid all over again and I am so stinkin excited I can barely stand it!! It is going to be so much fun...

Not much is going on though. The weather has been beautiful and means we will be outside a lot....except outside in our own back yard or front yard...why you ask?? Our kind neighbors don't pick up their dogs poo. Gross. That is a situation I do not want to have to go through with a 1yr old who puts everything in his mouth. I worry about him putting his OWN poop in his mouth so I don't have time for the worry of dog poop in there...yuck.

Here and There

So, i lost my laptop and by lost, i mean it is gettin fixed yet again. Man I am SO glad we invested in the 3 yr warrenty!! 3rd time to take it in and get a new one =) Our warranty is up in April so it was perfect timing for a new one. LoL Not much has been going on really. We are getting way excited about our trip to disneyland!!! T minus 12 days and counting!! It is going to be awesome....Until then though, our days are filled with studying daddy who still has two big tests before we leave. Poor guy. Not having a laptop means I don't get on the internet often. It is funny I rarely use our desk top...i am probably a little spoiled with wifi in our house now. It is good for the soul though, not surfing the net every second of the day. This past week the TV has even been off most of the day. Pretty cool there too. I am trying to get rid of all the lazy around the house. And trying to not be fat too. Anywho, just wanted to let you know we are still here and still alive. Mother nature decided to let it snow last night and it is nasty outside. I am ready for some pretty green and sunshine around here all ready. Come on Spring!! I am tired of the highlight of my day being a trip to costco...I wanna be outside!!
