An embarrassing mommy moment.
Once, I locked Adalie in the car...with the keys still in it.
I was at the grocery store and after we were finished shopping, I went to put Adalie in her seat. I had the keys in my mouth while I was buckling her in and she grabbed them from me. She loves the keys because she presses the LOCK button and then the car beeps. Well, forgetting she had grabbed them from my mouth, I shut the door, and right before I could open it and grab them from her, I heard the *beep*. Dang it. There are no extra keys to the car and I do not have another beeper thingy to open it. Adalie still had the keys in her hand and kept pressing the lock button, so the car kept beeping and there I was trying to coax her into pressing the other buttons on the ring, hopefully missing the panic button. FINALLY, after looking like and idiot for about 20 minutes, she presses the right button and I am in! You should've seen the looks I got in that parking lot....

oh man! that is crazy! at least it wasn't in Vidor and all hot and HUMID!
I'm guessing no one could tell your child was in there! Because I'm wondering why no one came over to offer help! :)
wow i bet that was a little scary for you! though i am impressed she ever pushed the right button.
We had an almost exact same experience with Robert...in the church parking lot. We were the only ones there and had to call a cop to come get him out. It was a little traumatizing for him and me. Ahhh the things we learn through experience.
