Texas

Saturday afternoon Brett and I decided to drive down to Texas. My Grandmama has been very sick for a while and took a turn for the worse last week, so instead of my mother traveling away from her mother while all the stuff was going on, we came to her. We surprised mom and dad on Sunday (they were going to leave early am Monday) and completely caught them off guard. It was a fun surprise. LoL. It turned out to be a really great thing for quite a few reasons,,,I would even say it was inspired. My mother had horrible knees and she is swollen all over and can barely walk....and I live in a house with stairs. The main reason though is, I got to say goodbye to my Grandmama. She passed away early a.m. this morning. It was a very sweet and sad thing all at the same time. I am so grateful though that I know I will see her again and we are a forever family. She was the best Grandmama ever. Funny, sweet, caring, gracious, and helpful....just full of love for all her little grandbabies....all 60 of us. I love you so much Grandmama and I am so happy I know who I am and what I can be mostly because of you.

And thank you to my wonderful husband who packed up our car and left on the road with me to Texas an hour after I suggested we go. Love you honey
