A Girls Weekend

We dropped of Brett and Cason at the airport Thursday night and Adalie and I cried almost the whole way home without them. It really hit us that it was going to be a long weekend without them here. Although we miss daddy and Cason...terribly, we have managed to have a little fun here to balance out the sadness.

Friday Adalie had pre-school and after school we headed to her favorite place in the world to eat...Olive Garden! Maybe it was because I worked there for 3+ yrs, but it takes some convincing to get me there from time to time since I was a little Olive Gardened out for a bit....but it was great! Adalie's favorite thing to eat is soup. Tomato, cheddar and broccoli, clam chowder, you name it she'll probably eat it.....well except gazpacho, probably not that. Anywho the zuppa is the absolute best and we stuffed ourselves silly on it! Then we stayed up late with movie after movie and popcorn and m&ms!! And then passed out around 10:30. Well Adalie, I don't think I actually got to sleep until 2 am...I am a horrible sleeper when Brett is gone.

Today we did a little shopping (of course since brett and Cason can barely last half an hour doing that). 4 1/2 hr shopping might just be my limit though. Adalie got to go to build a bear and had tons of fun there....35$ worth of fun, but hey daddy said we could spoil ourselves this weekend!!

I almost got her to pierce her ears but she watched another girl do it and kept saying she did not want a shot in her ear. I might keep up my families tradition on that one and get her ears pierced when she gets baptized. We also got facial mask and nail stuff for another late night of movies and treats!! Now we are winding down and getting ready for our dance party and pizza!!

But, come home soon daddy or we will spend all your money trying not to be sad about missing you so much!!
