Shots, Poo, Luandry, & Neighbors

Wow. That titlte probably grabbed your attention even though it is way more exciting than the actual post ahead....sorry about that

Today the kids got shots. 4 for Cason and 3 for Adalie. Both kids screamed there head off and it was hard to comfort both at once. Those shots included the flu shot so let's hope they work this year eh? That means we are 4 for 4 in the Sorensen household, so NO ONE better get it!! Rrrrr.

Haven't really done much lately, nothing too exciting. I stepped in dog poo today while taking a walk with the kids, that kind of ticked me off. I hate it when people don't pick up their dog's poo that is everywhere. Reminded me of the time I stepped in poo on my high school's bathroom floor....why was there poo on the floor? No clue except for maybe someone would think it was funny if someone else stepped in it. Well guess what? It wasn't funny. I also hate it when people don't poop in the toilet like their supposed to.

Next time someone asks me what my hobby is, I am going to say laundry. I mean, I do it all the time....even during my free time so that makes it a hobby yes? Or maybe I have to like it in order for it to be a hobby? Because then it wouldn't be my hobby because I hate it.

Ever wonder who that neighbor is that stares at you all the time? It's me. Hey, I'll admit it...I am the nosey neighbor you probably wouldn't like. I come from a generation of peeping Tanya's. We used to sit in my Grandmama's kitchen or on her porch late at night watching, so I am blaming it on genetics. Loud noises get my attention, so if you don't want me looking, don't be so loud otherwise I will know your business that you thought you had kept secret because it was at 11:00 at night. Nope, I'm awake and listening. Sometimes I can even pick up your conversations through my baby monitor. Haven't heard anything of interest just yet but one day you never know haha.

Adalie

Yesterday Adalie told her daddy that Heaven Father had told her she was mommy's surprise. She also said that when she left Him, he gave her a BIG hug.....and a birthday card lol. Just random, out of the blue statement from Adalie. It is funny because that is exactly what she was, a huge surprise. I was on birth control when we got pregnant and completely in shock when we found out. She turned out to be One of the best surprises ever though. Sweet and Sassy Adalie Marie.

Dr Visits

Time to be honest

So for almost a year now I have had some "issues" with my stomach. I absolutely HATE Drs' so I put off going for a very, very long time. I reached my limit of patience, and my husbands worry, and went to the Dr on Monday where they did a boocoo of blood work and took some "fun" samples....(ya, just what you're thinking...poo samples) She noticed something on my neck in the examining room, and asked me how long I had that bump on my neck. I told her I noticed it about a year ago and didn't think too much of it. She told me that wasn't normal, girls don't have Adam's Apples like that. I was scheduled for an ultrasound. My Dr. discovered 4 cyst in my throat and I have to go to an endocrinologist to get a biopsy of them. I had some blood work done earlier in the week and my family Dr is pretty sure they are non-toxic. So the cancer scare is down but I am still scared out of my mind. The situation is beyond what she can do so I have to go and see a specialist. Another specialist I have to go and see?? A Gastroenteritis. See they also found something in the "fun" samples I left them. There is a high count of white blood cells so I need to have a colonoscopy. That's right, I am 25 yrs old and I have to have a colonoscopy.

I am way stressed out. A million thoughts are running through my head. The biggest one is why? For someone who hates going to the Dr as much as I do, this is is a lot of Dr all over the place. You know whats funny though? Today when I was crying my eyes out, my husband held me in his arms and told me everything is going to be okay. You know what? I believe him. I also said a little prayer to my Father in Heaven and felt immediate comfort. I believe Him too.

The Dentist

Who hasn't had a wonderful experience there huh? When I moved out to UT in Jan 2006, I had to have my wisdom teeth pulled out. My wonderful roommates, Alicia and Ashley, took me to the dentist since I was going to be under sedation and wouldn't be able to drive. Or think clearly for that matter. I went in, sat in the chair and a nice nurse lady set me all up. Gave me the paper bib, screwed open my mouth, turned on the bright lights and said "The Dr will be in just a minute" Somewhere in between, someone else came in with a huge needle to give me a shot. All I hear is "Count backwards from 10" "I"m sorry wha....???" I was out. For a split second I remember opening my eyes and seeing a white mask and arms coming out of my mouth and then dozed again. I woke up and noticed a nurse standing in the corner of the room. "Ummm, excuse me? When is the Dr going to come in? I think I have been waiting for a while" "Oh honey he has already come and has finished the job!" It is about this time I notice the blood on the bib and touch my face to feel my chipmunk like cheeks and cotton balls inside. "Don't touch honey! Now here is a wheel chair for you since you're still a little out of it" Here is one of the not thinking clearly parts as I try to stand up on my own. "Oh no I am fine" And I literally fall out of the dentist chair. After the nurse helped me up and into the wheel chair, I felt so...happy. Even Happy enough to start singing oneof my absolute favorite songs at the top of my lungs....Honky Tonk ba-Donky Donk. (for anyone of you who may not know that song, it is about a girl and her large bottom) I get wheeled into the waiting room where I see my wonderful friends. I just loved them soooooo much at the moment and I think I told them about a hundred times that day just how much. I was overly joyed and was telling everyone! Yet, never skipping a beat with my song of choice. The nurse told us that we would need some more gauze, so I am not sure if I am the one who decided this or not, but the three of us decided to stop on the way home and get more gauze and my pain meds. Probably another not thinking clearly moment. See, you bleed a lot from your mouth. Especially a mouth with four holes in it. I remember standing in the prescription line feeling extremely nauseous. I felt like I was going to pass out. I started to spit out the gauze in my mouth and my wonderful friend Ashley was catching the bloody things in her hand. Who loves me enough to catch my bloody vomit? Ashely did! I thought the best solution was to start swallowing the blood. No. Going to pass out....going to pass out. And from then on the rest was pretty sketchy. Somehow I made it back in the car with new gauze and medicine. My roommates made a place for me on the couch since we were all pretty sure I wouldn't make it up the stairs. And there I laid, with my head propped up, high as a kite watching cartoons. I think I had a babysitter all day, though I am not sure because I was asleep for most of it. One of the shifts even went to my cousin Johnny and who did he bring? Though I didn't know it at the time, my future husband Brett. I think this was my 3rd time to have seen him, and here they came over to watch Monster's Inc with me. I was alseep the whole time, drooling over everything and I don't even remember them leaving. Somehow Brett still decided to date me. Moral of the story: I don't due well with pain meds and should not be held accountable for anything that might happen while I am on them.

Wow that's a long story. Cudos to you if you made it this far! Well, here is a funny little video that I saw the other day! You might have seen it but, it is some funny stuff. David Goes to the Dentist

Just Lots of Random Pictures

Hope you don't really mind, but I just wanted to post a boocoo of pictures today instead of writing. My motivation beyond just captions hasn't been with me lately LoL Enjoy!

Ready For Church!!

The Barricades are Up! Cason's new found sense of adventure has introduced barriers around the house. I sure do love baby gates!!

We've entered the gross baby food stage. I hate feeding babies baby food. The goo. The mess. The stains...I tried to hold it off as long as possible, but just milk doesn't cut it anymore fort this boy. Yuck.

Daddy got Adalie a pillow pet. Meet Oscar the Penguin.

Thank you Brett for my babies beautiful Blues =)

Fun things to do with a bowl and a willing little brother
Kind of a creepy picture right? My eyes look really funny in this picture but it will serve it's purpose.

Did I forget to tell you I got Permanent Eye Liner? That's right...a tattoo on my eyes. Don't Judge me =) I got it done about 2 mths ago while I was in Texas thanks to my wonderfully talented aunt Amanda! Hurt like Heck, but awesome that I don't have to put eye liner on for like the next five years or so. And, at least I have SOME make-up on, yes?
