I Took the Kids for a Walk....

So today I thought I would venture out into the somewhat cold weather today before the extreme cold hits and let my kids ride their new toys from Christmas. Well let me tell you how that went...

I hate the cold, so I had to convince myself it would be worth it. Kids will have fun and mommy will be a hero. I got Cason buckled into his new trike. Adalie all geared up for her scooter ride and we were set! Just a quick trip around the neighborhood until Daddy got home....30 mins won't kill us. While trudging along, Cason sees rocks. This kid loves rocks. He kept leaning down to pick up any he could reach to put in his basket at the front of his trike. There is a handle that I can hold on to though and help him steer so it wasn't a big deal. I would just hang on while he bent down and the bike wouldn't fall over. Well Adalie was a little behind, so I turned around for a SECOND to let Adalie catch up, let go of the bike, and then I hear screaming. Cason had tipped over onto the sidewalk to pick up a rock and the whole trike went with him. Poor kid has a pretty messed up face. Adalie now has a sore back from her handle bars that were too low and a runny nose from the wind. And, side note, I was an idiot thinking I could "hold it" and should've gone to the bathroom before the walk because as I was freaking out about Cason falling over and trying to pick him up, I sneezed and peed my pants a little. Chalk awesome pregnancy bladder control up to that one. Here is me walking home.....I smell like pee, there is a bloody faced kid in my arms screaming, I am trying to push a scooter and trike as well, and Adalie is also wailing because her back hurts and she can't walk anymore because of it.

It all happened less than 15 mins out the door.

Here is the damage. I feel absolutely terrible....and it looks a million times worse than the camera will show. His face is swollen all over.At least he is still talking to me and smiling....he even said cheese for this last picture I made him take.

New Years

HaPpY NeW YeAr Everyone!!!

We were traveling most of New Yr's Eve day and got home around 4. We didn't really do much to celebrate and we were so stinkin tired that Brett and I didn't even make it to 12. Although I think Brett woke up around 2 am and said Happy New Year to me at some point. haha We didn't even break out our Sparkeling Cider until New Year's Day Dinner....which wasn't even cabbage for money or black eyed peas for luck--it was Gumbo and it was delicious. It was left over in the freezer gumbo waiting for us when we got back. My house was in complete disorder and destruction so most of New Yr Day was spent unpacking, cleaning, DE-decorating, and piles of laundry, so it was WAY nice not to have to worry about dinner really. Just pop it in the croc pot and let it simmer and it was the best New Yr Dinner Ever! We made some goals in hopes to be better and I have already broken one or two of those or rather, haven't really started them. I wasn't ready this time. You know--silly ones mostly like excising everyday and No sugar, but in my defense (or excuse) I was beat from vacation and could barely get my body to move AND there was WAY to much Christmas goodies left over to just throw out . However, My kankles are returning to there somewhat normal size and The candy basket is almost empty so my sugar supply is depleting.

Anywho,
that was our somewhat boring New Years that probably wasn't even worthy of documenting. No fireworks. No party hats. No noise makers. BUT here is to a New Year with new things to offer. Last year flew by in a wink, 2012 should be a fun one!! Now if I can just remember to stop writing 2011 on everything.Bold

Baby #3 Update

So, I had a Dr. appointment on Tuesday to check up on Baby Boy. I cannot believe it is 32 weeks. Blows my mind how fast it's moving. Well, everything looks ok in there so far. I am already dilated to 1 and I am 40% effaced. Baby has dropped quite low and my bump looks like it has disappeared a little....or maybe thats just wishful thinking. Everything is Typical for me around this time, maybe a little sooner than last time -but only by like a week or so. I am usually walking around at a 3 my whole last month. I am glad my babies like to come fast, but it sure does make me nervous never knowing when it could actually happen, and I really, really want and epidural this time. I feel like I can't even let my water break. It's like a slip n slide and they come right out with it! Give me at least 5 more weeks baby boy so we can make sure you're good and healthy. I think we have a name for you, but I am still going back and forth on things. I don't really call you anything just yet except baby boy though as to not confuse you =). Your big sister is getting excited for you to get here and coos over every baby she sees. Cason doesn't seem to really know whats coming I think. We tell him about you and he will even pat my tummy and say "baby" but I think he will be in for a shock when you're actually here. Its funny, I know you're in there and I know you will be here sooner than later-but sometimes I forget you're coming. You're sneaking up on me and your dad.

More From Texas

Also while in Texas we had the George and Dorris Williamson Family reunion. This is a tradition still in the making, but it is 3 days at a camp a few hours away where the whole extended family (my mom's brothers and sisters and their kids and grandkids) stay in cabins and have fun just catching up and playing games. It is an every other yr event and this is the 2nd time for the reunion but mine and brett's first (on bed rest last time with Cason). It was a lot of fun.....a little stressful and busy since our family (my dad and sister's) were in charge of the whole thing this yr. My older sister Heather mostly took charge of everything, but I still don't think I sat for the whole 3 days and I ran myself rapid trying to help and make everyone happy. The kids were in heaven out in the woods and Brett was such a wonderful and huge help during the whole thing. Poor thing got so sick though with a terrible sore throat and is still trying to shrug off the cough and runny nose. My sister Rebecca was in charge of pictures and I got roped a little into it too to help out so of course all the pictures I took of my kids and family are on her camera not mine.....and who didn't get copies before we left??? Ya, stupid me. Want to see the pictures I got???

This is our cabin....kids playing in the mud in the front
And THIS priceless moment is my husband Brett packing up the van our last day there. Let the beauty of the moment sink in people. Love it.It was way fun. 78 people were there this year with 16 people still missing I think? We are looking forward to next time in 2014 -- especially since we will NOT be in charge of anything and will just be able to show up for a good time =) There should be a ton of fun pictures to share if my wonderful sister Rebecca gets me the picture cd soon.

Finally A Christmas

TONS of info and pictures ahead.....

This year we got to have Christmas in Good Ole' Tejas. Its been 4 yrs since we have been able to be there for the Holidays. Last time I was prego with Cason and on bed rest. This time, I found out my insurance would cover out of state if anything happened so I didn't even bother asking my Dr. if I could go so I went =)

Funny thing about Texas vacations.....Although I LOVE being there and enjoy my family to the moon and back, it is anything BUT a relaxing vacation. Especially this year. My sister had a baby the day we showed up. They just got a new house so we were moving things like crazy out of mom and dad's to get things semi ready for her there (huge mess). We had to put mom and dad's house back into some order so my other sister and I had a place to actually sleep while we were there. We cleaned. We did piles upon piles of laundry. We put in a new toilet. Fixed up a bathroom. Tiled a floor. Planned a family reunion. And tons of other little projects. Oh, and Christmas was in there somewhere.....It. Was. Extremely. BUSY. But, don't underestimate the fond and memorable good tone in my voice. I still loved being home.

SO-- Christmas!!! Here we go!! This year, like the terrible parents we are, we forgot the video camera charger so the holidays were barely captured in picture. Christmas Eve Afternoon we had a brunch over at Mom and Dad's. 10 kids and 11 adults in a house built barely for 8 people. Crazy and fun. We were spoiled again and so were our children. My sister however definitely won the prize this year with her unexpected craftiness. He mother in law is a wonderful seamstress and has been teaching her LOTS!! She restored an old poster for my dad that some of the people from his mission in Argentina had signed for him before he left and put it in a beautiful frame. She made our mom a blanket out of my Grandmama's old nightgowns....very sentimental as she passed away about a year ago and my mother has taken it quite hard. And she made all of her sisters a pillow---get this---out of my dad's old but favorite church suit. Seriously?!?! WOW!! That night we got to go to the Williamson Christmas Eve party....a family tradition yrs and yrs strong. Since our family is getting so big (60 plus people) we had it at the church house this time. ALWAYS fun to see everyone and their budding families =)The George Williamson Sr. Clan and Great Grand kids with still a few missing

Christmas morning we awoke around 7 am (had to wake up the kids) to find that Santa had indeed come!! Cason got a new trike and Adalie was supposed to have her scooter set out as well from Jolly Ole' St Nick....but he, however, forgot to put all the parts in the box. Try explaining that one to a 4 yr old on Christmas morning. Let's just say I was pretty upset. Her other big gift-her very own camera- also had to be taken back as it turned out not to work so good either. She got to play with her other 2 gifts though and we have since replaced the camera and we are waiting for Santa to send her replacement scooter this week. I had a wonderful Christmas from my amazing husband as usual and Brett seemed happy as well although his socks and moccasins were to big and had to be exchanged---he is always so hard to shop for, but there were still smiles on his face Christmas morning. It was a wonderful Christmas all around!! Here are a few pictures to prove it....and sorry--I didn't proof read or spell check on this one so WHO knows WHAT you're reading...hopefully it just makes sense. The kids put on a show for Grandmama and Grandpathis picture. Just because I needed to prove how handsome my kid is...Cool lighters the boys got from dad. A mini gun and a fishin poleI forgot to re wrap a gift I got for Brett so it was thrown into a pillow case so he couldn't see what it was...had to document that one.

Slacker

While vacationing, I seemed to have forgotten about Internet. It was actually kind of a nice break...not worrying about e mail or blogging or whats going on with who on facebook. I actually got a lot done a had lots of fun visits. Now, we are home and life is seeping back into normal. We are cleaning up the mess that vacation often leaves behind...and the millions of clothes we got dirty during our two weeks in Texas. There was never a second to rest there really. There were a billion projects to do, tons of dinners to attend, reunions to plan.....NEVER a dull moment there really. My feet and legs looked like an elephant's. I was ALWAYS on my feet and Brett had to tell me constantly to sit down, which I didn't listen very well. It was a busy and fun filled break and Iwill give you the details of it soon -- I promise. For now, my house looks like a tornado has run through it and my kids are slowly coming down from their sugar highs from Grandma and Grandpa's.

I hope everyone had a GREAT Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!!
