Brett's first day was Monday. It was cold....rainy....and long. The area they had him in was basically the getto and I was scared for his life. Especially when he calls at nine and tells me he is waiting, in the dark, on a street corner, by himself for someone else to pick him up. No sell that day, but we we're happy to get him home alive.
Brett's second day was Tuesday. They all got new areas because everyone was in the "bad parts" of the city and no one was passing credit checks. So nicer area on Tuesday, but then the police showed up. The Team leader guy called everyone and told them to stop where they were and no more selling. Supposedly, even though the state of PA told them they didn't have to have selling license here for just the summer, the cops said they did. They said whoever they caught back out here in this part of the city again without a license would get a $300 citation. I guess in this neighborhood folks were just complaining about people being on their street and the cops needed a good reason to tell everyone to go home. No sell that day, but we're happy no one was arrested.
Brett's third was Wednesday. After getting everyone a valid selling license and another new area, they headed out yet again. They got a later start to the day, at about three due to all the junk that needed to be fixed but it was nice to get to see my husband for a few extra hours. I got a text from brett at about our thirty that just said "Got One!". Good news there. Then, I got the call from Brett that he had his own run in with a cop. Apprenetley the police officer had gotten a complaint about someone running around in the neighborhood disguised in an APX outfit asking people if they had alarms and then not giving them pamphlets or offering any information about who it is he actually works for. After asking Brett a few questions that the cop felt Brett couldn't answer quick enough (i.e what is the address of the head office where you work for....what is your new address...etc.) because Brett had to look in his binder for the answer and THAT looked supsicious to him, he revoked Brett's selling license and told him he "just needed to go home and leave these people alone". No reason really to take it, but just did. Brett had to quit selling for the night and just wait for everyone else in the car. Turns out, it wasn't even brett that got the cops called on him it was another APX sells guy who said it was this lawyer lady that said she was going to call the cops on him...Brett just happned to be the first guy the poilce guy saw. So, still got a sell that day and still not going to jail....
What happens today? I'll keep you posted!!

Holy Smokes! These three days sound pretty overwhelming and awful! I am glad that Brett got a sell though. Good luck!

What a relief that he didn't get arrested or anything! I'm sure it will get easier.
