Adalie had her first TBall "game" this past Saturday. Basically, everyone on both teams just gets to take a turn at batting while the other tries to catch the ball. No outs or anything since they are so young. It was absolutely hilarious to watch these kids. Adalie had missed her first practice on the Saturday before, so we knew she would be a little behind but not too big of a deal.

Catching and throwing went fine, but when it came time to hit the ball off the Tball stand, she got really confused.

She didn't understand dropping the bat and running to first base after the ball was hit. She would hit the ball off the stand and then try and run after the ball and get it before anyone else would. Same when she actually made it to a base. When one of her teammates would hit the ball, she would run off the base and towards the ball.

Then there is the whole other issue of running the
right bases. There were so many coaches screaming so many different things to all the different kids on the field...it was funny seeing Adalie running from first base right across the Field to third base-- skipping second all together. And then from Third to the pitchers mound because
Hey, it looks like a base and she had no idea what
HOME was. Either that, or she would run to mom and dad by the fence because we are
HOME to her... Needless to say Brett is running bases with her this week and practicing her hitting.
When we asked her about what she thought about it all she said "Ya I can see myself playing this game
all the time! I was pretty good at it" We are very excited to be molding her into her new softball career... =)
These next few Saturdays are going to be quite entertaining.

That is soooo cute, and defiantly entertaining. I went to one of my nephews games, HILARIOUS!! Most the kids would either run the wrong way or tackle the ball when it fell to the ground. Kids are funny!
