So Brett and I signed up for this weather alert thing on our phone. Des Moines weather freaks me out so far. I have the hardest time trying to sleep through it all!! Tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, lightening, flooding....Since I am a major over active worry wort, Brett got us these weather alerts text to our phones in the hopes one of us will wake up when something bad is about to happen. It has come in pretty handy, but seriously it might be a little excessive tonight...we have gotten about 20 weather text alerts in 2 1/2 hours of pretty much the same thing. A sever thunderstorm and flood warning. K, got it. I have the emergency bag ready. Flashlight in my side table. Rain jackets ready, And all the swimming floats in our upstairs closet ready just in case. Totally not kidding. Brett had a good laugh about it all. But hey, who is he gunna be thanking when we are drifting in open waters?!!? Hummmmm????? You're Welcome!!

Weather in the south is crazy!! Gotta love the heat, but the tornados I could do without. You are gorgeous as ever!
That's hilarious!! And almost annoying..I can't stand having my phone on at night because every little noise wake me and keep me up! But I guess it'd be different if my life was at stake! Glad y'all are safe though!
Wow! That's some serious weather information updates you're getting. Nothing like quantity. Glad you're safe! It all just seems humorous for now . . . you'll definitely be the hero when everyone is putting on their floating paraphernalia!
