We took a little mini vaca to Omaha for a few days and it was a fabulous way to recharge our batteries around here. Brett and I are going crazy just waiting to get out of here for a few days, so it was nice to take a little break, even if it was only 2 hrs away and a short overnight trip. Tuesday night I had made reservations to go do temple work. The winter quaters temple is a smaller LDS temple and only has two session available 6 or 7:30 at night. We got to our hotel around 6:15 and I was ready to walk out the door, but I didn't end up going. Probably going to heck for that one right?? =) Road to hell is paved with good intentions I hear.... I just got so worried about my little man who was running an extremely high fever for some reason and couldn't get myself to leave him. It is always hard to leave me kids....but even harder when they are sick. So I stayed and hung out at the hotel with Brett and the babies and relaxed. It is funny how excited the kids were just being somewhere new to sleep for the night. I told Brett if this is all it takes to get the kids excited, we can just take hotel vacations for a while. We did however, plan on going to the zoo in the morning so the night was spent with lots of worry, hope, frustration, and prayers that Cason's fever would go away so we could take him out.
It did!! Except now he has a funny rash all over his body, I am thinking Roseola? Is that right?? Extremely high fever and then a rash to follow after it breaks....
And I wold post about our wonderful zoo trip now in this same post, but I cannot find the camera. i will have to add it later today or tomorrow. Funny thing about Adalie though. She has been in a very demanding sort of mind lately.... Always starts her sentences with "you better..." like "you better make sure its ready" or "you better make sure I have my blanket" and so on. I remarked to Brett "When did she start talking like a teenager?" Adalie overheard me ask this to her dad and says she says "Well, I get it from you mom." Brett just says "that's probably true."
Little stinker. Both of you...
