Well, it looks like Brett pulled off an A in his first two classes here at DMU. Woo Hoo! Good going honey. So far, medical school has treated us well and I really can't complain to much. It isn't as bad as I thought so far (keeping my fingers crossed) I usually get Brett home at 5 and free (for the most part) all night. Sometimes, I even get to have him home at 3 which is a real treat!! It has been really nice to just focus on school for once and no work. Kind of a different change of pace that is very welcomed.
I have been struck with a cold. I hope it is just a cold. If it is the flu, I am never getting a flu vaccine again. I seem to get it every year even though I get vaccinated for it. Bummer. Worse thing I hate about it besides not being able to breath out of my nose? By about 2 in the afternoon I am done, but I have to convince myself to keep going and pretend like I care about things like dinner or laundry....which I didn't at all today. We ate take out and wore dirty clothes.
Cason is a biter. He bites everything and everyone...I have the marks on my stomach and shoulder to prove it. How do you teach an 8 mth old biting is bad?? I have resulted to flicking him on the chin...is that bad??? Hopefully he learns soon. I don't want to be the mom in nursery that everyone hates because their kid goes around leaving bite marks.
Adalie is getting way excited for Halloween. Des Moines really knows how to do Halloween. There is some kind of party going on just about every night. They don't do trick or treating on the 31st around here though. They have beggars night on the 30 where the kids go out trick or treating. the 31st seems to be the "adult" day where everyone gets drunk. Another weird thing, kids supposedly have to tell a joke or do a trick in order to get their candy. Adalie is good at telling knock knock jokes....but they never get past the who's there part of it? She totally misses the punch line every time. Adalie's knock knock joke goes something like this:
A: Knock Knock
Me: Who's there?
A: Banana Pants Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!
She never gives me time to say Banana pants who...I have tried to explain to her how a knock knock joke goes about a million times but she still doesn't get it. It is quite frustrating.

I literally LOL on that last part!
and law school is treating us well, as well
something to be said about JUST going to school haha but like you said I'm sure it'll get worse at some point
that joke made me laugh! i think i really like the way she tells it!
i'd think having trick or treating on the 30th will be a great thing this year since the 31st is sunday. that way you can avoid all the drunks and stay in on halloween.
