Confession time. Adalie has been obsessed with a bottle since day one. Sippy cups just didn't cut it for her for quite a while. When she turned two in July, it was no bottle and she went NUTS!!! So we compromised with her and she only got the bottle right before bed time and it was sippy cups if she wanted any milk during the day. Ever since then I have been trying to get her off and have had several failed attempts. She has one bottle, with one nipple that is barely even a nipple anymore and there are so many holes and cracks in it. And she knows that I WILL NOT buy her another one. Knowing it wasn't going to last much longer, I had to get her off and before the new year was the perfect time. Well I heard about Nanny 911 and this thing she had done with a 3 yr old that was still on a paci. She had her gather all the ones she had around the house and told her a story of the "Pacifier fairy" who would take her pacifiers and give them to other little children all around the world and in return, she would leave her a present. So, we got a stocking from Christmas, had her put her bottle in it and told her about the "bottle fairy" who would come and take her bottle to a new baby and leave her a present in return. She was way excited, but that first night was tough for her. She went to bed 2 1/2 hours later than normal and screamed for it the next morning. Next night was a little better.....only and 1 1/2 hrs after bed time when she finally went to sleep and she woke up at 5:30 AM wanting it and didn't go back to sleep. But, she did finally take her sippy cup at 8 and say "I don't have a bottle anymore because I gave it to the bottle fairy, I will use my sippy cup....but can I have some chocolate in it?" haha Anywho, I think it is finally a success, or rather becoming one. I am embarrassed as all get out that I let her have that dang bottle for so long and I have learned my lesson the first child and will not let it happen with our second. The older she got the more she realized she could compromise with me and if she talked to me enough she would get to keep it. haha Anywho, I need to write this all down for memory sake. But it feels so good that we have kicked the habit!!

Stockin' Up and A Confession
Nothing makes you feel more pre-pared for the New Year than a little SAMS club shopping trip. Well, is there such a thing as a little shopping trip at SAMS? haha I don't think so. Our membership expires on the 3rd here and Brett's bonus check came so we decided to get some shopping out of the way before school life starts again. Well lots of cash later, we are stocked up for quite a while. I would love to only have to go out for milk, bread, eggs, and the occasional meats and cheeses....or just send Brett haha. I am starting to feel like I can't even walk around too much anymore without feeling like a bowling ball is going to drop out down there! And I have to pee all the time and I don't do well with public restrooms so that's another reason not to go out too long. lol.
